UW-Madison has recently upgraded its group subscription from New York Times News to New York Times All Access, which includes News, Games, Audio, Cooking, Wirecutter, and The Athletic.
If you have accessed the New York Times (NYT) via UW-Madison's academic pass for News in the past, your individual account will be upgraded automatically. However, if you used your wisc.edu email to create a subscription to access features like Games, Audio, Cooking, Wirecutter, and The Athletic, you will not be able to receive your complimentary All Access subscription. If that is the case, your complimentary News access will have been deactivated. To get around this issue, you should cancel your personal NYT subscription to Games, Cooking, Wirecutter, or The Athletic.
Once you cancel your personal NYT subscription, you should then follow the tutorial to register for your complimentary NYT Digital Academic Pass subscription, which now includes All Access. Any streaks, stats, recipes, or articles saved to your account will remain.
For more information on how to cancel your subscription, visit the NYT website.
