What are citation managers?
Citation managers such as EndNote Basic (aka EndNote Online), EndNote Desktop (including EndNote 20 and 21), Zotero, and Mendeley are tools for managing your citations. Among other things, citation managers can help you to:
- Collect and organize your citations
- Format bibliographies and in-text citations for your papers
- Share your citations with others
UW-Madison provides support for EndNote Desktop (including both EndNote 20 and 21), EndNote Basic (aka EndNote Online), Zotero, and Mendeley. Information on how to install and use each of these citation managers can be found on the Citation Management Guide.
