Library Guide for Law Journals : Printers, Copiers and Scanners

A guide for Law Journal editors, cite-checkers and staff, including print and online resources.

Printing, Copying and Scanning

The library provides printers, copiers and scanners for all students, including journal staff. The law journals are provided with printing cards for copying (0.10 cents/page) and printing (0.07/page). The journal editors will have these cards for staff to use as needed. If more money is needed, consult with your editor who will make the proper arrangements.

There is one photocopier in the 5th floor copy center, which is also where two printers are located. There are two additional printers in the 2nd floor study lab, to which the microfiche machines also print. Color printing is not available at the law library. The closest library that offers color printing is College Library, though the Law School Copy Shop offers color printing for a small fee as well.

There are two book scanners in the 5th floor copy center, and an additional book scanner on the 3rd floor near the periodicals. Each scanner has both a flatbed scanner (for books and journals) and a document feeder (for single pages).

Scanning is free. Users can save their scans either to a USB drive, to their email, to Google Drive, or to a mobile device. Before you save your scan, you can also preview it and crop, rotate or delete as needed.
