- Lynda BarryAmerican cartoonist and author; Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Creativity at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In Fall 2013, Barry will be teaching Art 448: "Making Comics and Other Graphic Formations."
- Ramzi FawazAssistant Professor of English at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Fawaz is the author of "The New Mutants: Comic Book Superheroes and Popular Fantasy in Postwar America," forthcoming from NYU Press.
- John PorcellinoPorcellino is the creator of King-Cat Comics, a celebrated miniseries begun in 1989; Porcellino currently lives in Beloit, Wisconsin.

- DesignLabDesignLab is a resource for UW-Madison students who want to incorporate digital media into research projects, in the form of "theory comix" among many other options.
- Mellon Workshop on ComicsThe A. W. Mellon Comics Workshop takes a transdisciplinary approach to the study of comics and its aim is to yield rich, new understandings of comics. Our meetings center around shared primary and theoretical readings about comics (posted on our website) and around talks given by comics artists, political cartoonists, industry experts, and researchers and scholars who study comics. We welcome all interested members of the UW-Madison and Madison communities to take part in these conversations.

In addition to a great mail-order service, Westfield maintains two brick-and-mortar stores in Madison, one on the West Side and one on the East Side.
