Standards : Standards in the Classroom

Classroom Access to Standards

If your students will be using standards available through one of the library's full text databases that includes standards, you can direct them to those resources for access.

Requesting Standards for a Class

If you are planning for your students to use specific standards, let us know that as far in advance as possible so we can ensure the standards are ready and available when your students need them.

If your students may need to request individual standards for specific projects, they should request those standards as soon as possible. It may take a few days for standards to become available, or even longer if we have to order a print copy.

ANSI's University Outreach Program

Upon request, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) can provide faculty with complimentary access to selected international standards for use in curricula with the objective of raising the awareness and impact of standards in their field of study. The program is open to all disciplines and can provide classroom access to select ISO, IEC or ADA (American Dental Association) standards.

Please be aware that instructors must provide a list of specific standards that will be used and the program may require quite a bit of advance notice in order to make standards available.
