- Literature Reviews in the SciencesThis micro-course explores the skills and tools necessary to research and write a literature review in the sciences, including planning, organization, disciplinary-based source exploration, drafting, and revision.
- Search Strategies for STEM ResearchThis tutorial will show you how to use disciplinary databases to both develop a research topic and refine your search strategies to find the information you need.
- Library Research TutorialsBrief tutorials on a variety of research-related topics, including how to use Interlibrary Loan and how to evaluate and cite sources. Not sure how to do or find something? Start here!
Getting Materials
Most library materials can be accessed online by starting at the library website and using your Net ID and password to log in. Below are some useful tools and tips for accessing materials.
- Remote Access BookmarkletIf you'd rather not start every search with the library website, installing this bookmarklet will let you bypass the website and still access library-licensed materials.
- Interlibrary LoanNeed something we don't own? Instructions on this page will help you use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to request items from other institutions.
- Remote DeliveryGraduate students, staff, and faculty whose work/research location is at least 0.25 miles (400 meters) from a campus library may request delivery of hard copy materials via USPS at no charge. Eligible locations include Engineering Centers Building and Mechanical Engineering.
