UW Digital Collections browse featureIt's true, the UW-Madison Libraries do have a lot of books in our catalog—more than 10 million in 500+ different languages! However, the Libraries also have thousands of databases, which contain millions of articles, streaming movies and music, as well as 1.4 million eBooks.

In addition, the Libraries have more than 7 million digitized documents and images available online. You can find nearly all of these resources through the Libraries’ website.

Chances are, you will be studying topics from many different disciplines, and you might not be an expert in all of them. That’s where the Libraries can help!

Library staff have organized many of the Library’s online resources by subject to make it easier to get started. In addition, there are online research guides for hundreds of courses and subject areas that can point you to the most helpful resources.
