Choose a Citation Manager

Citation managers help you:

  • collect and organize your references and PDFs
  • easily insert in-text citations
  • generate bibliographies

Each program works a little differently, so take some time to get to know a few programs and find the one that works best for you.  Check out this guide's Cite tab for more information.

Don't worry about being stuck with a citation manager that isn't working for you. You can export your references from one program to another easily.
