These toolkits and resources were put together for use by health professionals. The workshops and guides listed below have been chosen for their ability to help improve patient communication, and subsequently, health literacy. You may choose from comprehensive resources, resources by health topic, and resources by population. Additionally, we offer resources to help you stay up to date on health literacy.

- CDC Health Literacy CoursesThe CDC offers a number of courses in health literacy as well as providing links to non-CDC trainings.
- "Health Literacy Online" GuideThis guidebook, developed by the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, will help you evaluate the online resources at your health institution and how they impact the patients who are using them.
- AHRQ Health Literacy Universal Precautions ToolkitFrom the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, this health literacy toolkit describes the best practices for universal precautions.
