Go to Social Explorer (click "Explore Maps" or "Tables" in the upper right portion of the page to start using the database)
General information
- Three simultaneous users from UW-Madison licensed.
- Provides access to demographic and housing data from the American Community Survey, and the Decennial Census back to 1790
- Allows users to create maps and reports at all geographic levels, including the state, county, census tract, block group, zip code and census place
- Default interface creates and uses maps
- Also includes data from 2009 and 2010 on religious congregations. The data were collected by Info-Group American Church Lists, organized into religious groups by the Association of Religion Data Archives (ARDA) (data collected by private organizations, NOT the U.S. government) and processed by Social Explorer.
