GI Press Collection, 1964-1977This collection contains page images and searchable text of about 900 periodicals created by or for U.S. military personnel during the Vietnam War era. Most were produced underground by U.S. soldiers or veterans who opposed the war, using mimeograph machines or other inexpensive technology.

Alongside over 70,000 pages of letters, diaries, and oral histories, there are more than 30,000 pages of posters, broadsides, pamphlets, advertisements, and rare audio and video materials. The collection is further enhanced by dozens of scholarly document projects, featuring richly annotated primary-source content that is analyzed and contextualized through interpretive essays by leading historians.

Sterling Hall Bombing of 1970A UW project to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the bombing of Sterling Hall which took place on August 24, 1970. The collection consists of excerpts from interviews with UW-Madison faculty, students, staff, and Madison community members recounting their experiences of the bombing and its aftermath.
