Foundation Center PDF Grant Guides Online

These guides are available for use in Memorial Library only.  Each contains lists of grants given (past-tense) by whom, to whom, for what, and the amount, making it an excellent way to determine grantmakers' actual giving track record. Each guide will open as a PDF. Hit Ctrl + f (keyword shortcut for find) to bring up a search box to search for your key word. Here is a 30 second demonstration.

Once you find a potential funder, you may look up that foundation in the Foundation Directory Online to get their full profile and tax returns. To do so, note the name of the foundation. Go back to the PDF Guide tab. Click on Guide Contents, then on Subscription databases. Select Foundation Directory Online and then Search Grantmakers. Under grantmaker name, click on view index and type in the funder's name. Here is 56 second demonstration.
